A properly applied dampproofing membrane creates a continuous moisture-resistant barrier that helps limit moisture migration through the foundation wall and provides protection between the concrete and surrounding soil.
We work directly with builders, general contractors, and foundation crews to make dampproofing application simple. Once the foundation is ready, we coordinate with your schedule, prepare the necessary surfaces, apply the specified dampproofing system, and get the foundation ready for the next phase of construction.

Our Foundation Waterproofing Process
01 — Foundation Ready
Once forms are stripped and the foundation is accessible, we coordinate with your schedule and confirm the dampproofing requirements for the project.
02 — Prep & Inspection
The foundation is inspected and prepared for dampproofing, with attention to ties, surface defects, penetrations, joints, transitions, and other areas requiring detail work.
03 — Dampproofing Application
The specified dampproofing system is professionally spray-applied to below-grade foundation surfaces for consistent, continuous moisture protection.
04 — Ready for the Next Phase
Once the dampproofing system has properly set, the foundation is ready for any specified insulation, drainage components, and subsequent backfill.

Our standard dampproofing system uses DECO 20 Dampproof, an ICC-evaluated foundation coating designed for poured concrete and masonry foundations. Its spray-applied, continuous coating provides reliable moisture protection while eliminating seams associated with sheet-applied systems.

Every project is different. When plans call for a specific dampproofing product or system, we can work with the project’s architect, engineer, or design team to meet the specified requirements. Where substitutions are permitted, we can coordinate with Deco Products’ technical team to provide product documentation and help determine whether a Deco dampproofing system is appropriate for the application. We’re also happy to apply another approved dampproofing product when required by the project specifications. Deco provides technical data, applicator guides, and ICC documentation for its foundation systems.
